01 · The road here

I grew up in Nairobi, and that's where I first picked up a camera. Nairobi National Park, Tsavo, the Masai Mara. One sunrise, a young lion turned toward me in perfect golden light, and from that moment I knew what I wanted to do.

The road there wasn't straight. I spent years as a chef, starting in Leeuwarden, then a couple of years in a hotel kitchen on the Dutch island of Vlieland, then a fine dining French bistro in Amsterdam where I ran the cold side as chef de partie. One day a photographer and videographer came in to shoot content for the restaurant. Watching them work, I realised I'd rather be behind the camera than behind the stove. Soon after, I left the kitchen.

The kitchen gave me my first clients. Chefs I'd met over the years started asking me to photograph and film their food, and hospitality became the start of my professional career. I went on to graduate in Film Production from SAE Institute Amsterdam, with honours in cinematography.

From food I moved into sport. Levels Fight League became a recurring client, and fight nights taught me to work fast when every moment happens once. That led me into fitness, where I now create content for personal trainers in Amsterdam, from planning and shooting to editing and captioning, month after month.

I handle projects end to end, so you deal with one person who is accountable for the result. I've built my own production system around modern tools and automation, which means fast turnaround without cutting corners on the craft.

03 · Where I'm heading

Long term, I want to make adventure and documentary films: wildlife, extreme sports and stories that deserve more attention.

Conservation matters to me, and I want my camera to help causes that need visibility and funding. Every project I take on today builds toward that.
